This study explored the perceived influence of vocational rehabilitation programmes on individuals with disabilities. Vocational rehabilitation
plays a pivotal role in facilitating the integration of persons with disabilities into the workforce and society at large. Descriptive research design was utili ed in this study. Purposive sampling techniques used in selecting ninety-five respondents for the study. A 30-item questionnaire titled Perceived Influence of Vocational Rehabilitation on EmploymentRelated Development of Person with Disabilities was utilized to elicit responses from the respondents. Descriptive statistics of mean, percentage, frequency count and independent sample t-test was used to analy e the data collected. The findings revealed the extent of perceived influence of vocational rehabilitation in creation of employment opportunities for persons with disabilities was high. It also showed that there is no significance difference on the perceived influence of vocational rehabilitation on person with disabilities based on gender. Based on the findings of the study, it was concluded that vocational rehabilitation significantly contributed to the creation of employment opportunities and enhancement of job performance. It was recommended that there should be continuous monitoring and assessment of influence of vocational rehabilitation programmes on both employment outcomes and personal well-being of person with disabilities.
